A true off-piste ski designed with versatility in mind. The Trace's core is a mix of Caruba wood and Fiberglass paired with a metal stomp pad underfoot. The Trace 108 provides durable charge-ability in a lighter ski. As one of the most multi-purpose skis on the market Trace 108 will be the weapon of choice for hard-charging backcountry and resort enthusiasts alike.

FEATURES
AR75 Sidewall | Sidewalls provide improved edge pressure under the boot, while cap constuction in the tip and tail provides smooth turn initiation and less hookiness - 75% sidewall, 25% cap. |
Lightweight Caruba Core | Our lightest wood species creates the best up-hill feel while retaining the power and dampness required in descending the gnarliest of terrain. This core makes no concessions in performance in its quest to be ultra-light. |
EST Freeride Rocker | Fore body rocker and extra tip-taper combine to create EST for optimized float in the soft stuff. Positive camber under foot with no tail rocker ensures these skis stay on rails when carving is the priority. |
Comp Series Base | Armada's fastest base. |
1.7 Impact Edge | Light and strong, these heat-treated edges effect the feel of the ski minimally to ensure a snappy, lightweight feel for the skis. |
Ti Binding Reinforcement | Below the binding, a sandwich of rubber, Titanal and finally more rubber work to dampen vibration that otherwise chatters into your boots and shortens your day. Ski bell-to-bell thanks to the damping provided by our Ti binding dampener. |
Adaptive Mesh | A variable angle weave optimizes vibration damping along the length of the ski to make the ski more damp, stable and tough without adding weight. In the ends of the ski, the weave runs nearly tip-to-tail, filtering chatter and tip bounce. Underfoot, the weave runs nearly side-to-side, filtering vibration introduced through the edges either by ice, bumps and crud. Without additional weight, Adaptive mesh provides a smoother ride. |
FROM ARMADA
VERSATILE BACKCOUNTRY PERFORMER
The Armada Trace 108 knows you have to get up to get down. That's why, for 20/21 we upgraded it's core to Caruba, further pushing the ski's lightweight efficiency, while ensuring chatter dampening and overall stability through strategic use of Adaptive Mesh and Ti Binding Reinforcements. Carved from backcountry pedigree with a nod to devout freeriders everywhere, the 108 weighs in light, but doesn’t leave performance to chance.

Armada and Fresh have been close partners since Fresh's inception in 2001. We pride ourselves on being one of Canada's first freeski specific shops, and Armada has played a massive role in that. Hosting some of the biggest names from Tanner Hall to JP Auclair to Henrik Harlaut, Armada has some of the deepest roots in the freeskiing. Known for making top-quality equipment for a fair price, we are proud to carry almost all of Armada's line-up, and we're stoked to represent the brand. Welcome to the AR Family! |
